ASTM D1319 Hydrocarbon Type Tester
ASTM D1319 Hydrocarbon Type Tester
MT-HT506
The ASTM D1319 Hydrocarbon Type Analyzer is designed for determining the volume percentages of aromatic hydrocarbons, olefins, and saturated hydrocarbons in liquid petroleum products.
Introduction
The ASTM D1319 Hydrocarbon Type Tester is manufactured in accordance with GB/T 11132 – Test Method for Hydrocarbon Types in Liquid Petroleum Products by Fluorescent Indicator Adsorption and is equivalent to ASTM D1319. The method uses fluorescent indicator adsorption (FIA) technology to separate and identify hydrocarbon types in petroleum distillates.
During the test, the petroleum sample mixed with fluorescent indicator is introduced into a silica gel adsorption column, where different hydrocarbon types separate and form visible bands under ultraviolet illumination. By measuring the length of each band, the volume percentage of aromatics, olefins, and saturated hydrocarbons can be determined.
Hydrocarbon composition is an important quality indicator for motor gasoline, aviation fuel, and other petroleum distillates, as it directly influences fuel performance, combustion characteristics, and emissions.
This instrument is widely used in petroleum refineries, fuel testing laboratories, aviation fuel quality control laboratories, and research institutes.
