Introduction

Oxidation stability is a critical performance indicator for turbine oils and other lubricating oils. The test evaluates the resistance of lubricating oils to oxidation under accelerated conditions. The sample is placed in a rotating pressure vessel and exposed to oxygen at elevated temperature, allowing rapid evaluation of oil oxidation resistance.

This ASTM D2272 Oxidation Stability Tester is primarily used for assessing the oxidation stability of new and in-service turbine oils with the same base oil and additive composition at 150°C. It can also be used for rapid evaluation of oxidation stability of new mineral insulating oils containing antioxidant additives such as 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol or 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol at 140°C.

The system adopts a modern microprocessor control platform with automatic temperature regulation, oxygen charging, pressure monitoring, and real-time data recording, ensuring reliable and automated oxidation stability testing.
