The Automatic Cleveland Open Cup Flash Point Analyzer is designed for the determination of flash point and fire point of petroleum products under open cup conditions in accordance with ASTM D92, ISO 2592, GB/T 3536 and GB/T 267 standard.
Introduction
Under controlled heating conditions, the sample is heated at a standardized rate. When vapor above the sample momentarily ignites upon exposure to a test flame, the lowest temperature at which this occurs is recorded as the flash point. If combustion continues for at least 5 seconds, it is recorded as the fire point.
This Open Cup Flash Point Analyzer is widely used in petroleum refineries, power plants, lubricant laboratories, transportation authorities, and research institutions requiring high-temperature open cup flash point testing.
Unlike closed cup systems, the Cleveland open cup method is particularly suitable for evaluating materials with higher flash points and for applications where atmospheric exposure conditions are required.
